Valentyna Guch-Denysenko has been a practicing energy auditor since 2011.

One of the main goals of the TEAD project is to empower women working in the energy sector in Ukraine. That’s why we interviewed women from all over Ukraine and created a series of biographical publications to share the fascinating experiences and successes of female energy ambassadors. We also paid special attention to the barriers that women professionals face when working in a sector that is currently dominated by men.

Professional Experience:

– Energy service company “Ecological Systems”
– Participation in the USAID project “Energy Reform of Heating Systems,” including building energy audits
– Concern “Municipal Heating Networks”
– Energy efficiency expert at the Ministry of Regional Development’s Reform Support Office
– Project Coordinator for Energy Efficiency at EUEA/European-Ukrainian Energy Agency

Valentyna found her calling in energy management and discovered the profession of energy auditor. Her passion for new knowledge and readiness to tackle challenges make her a true professional. When working on projects, she meticulously studies details, gathers documents and finds optimal solutions for conducting audits.

She believes that Ukrainian manufacturers and businesses must invest in energy-efficient technologies. Without this, the industry will struggle to compete in global markets in the future.

To stay updated on new technologies and legislative changes, ongoing learning and professional development are essential. Researching international practices, particularly support tools in the EU, enables the implementation of effective solutions. For example, the European Union often uses state programs to provide investment grants and concessional loans.

Valentyna is actively seeking new ways to exchange information and is open to discussions on creating new channels for energy auditors in Ukraine. She considers it extremely important to ensure easy access to grant support programs and training, especially for professional development.

She believes in the need for a consistent state policy to support energy efficiency in Ukraine’s industry and is actively working towards achieving this goal.
